Senior Platform Engineer (m/f/x)

Deine Rolle:

  • You have several years of solid experience operating complex production systems.
  • You possess very strong knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, as well as in designing stable cloud architectures.
  • You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and automated deployments.
  • You have hands-on experience in both cloud environmentsand bare-metal/on-prem operations and can realistically assess costs, performance, and operational effort.
  • You have good knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • You have experience with common platform components such as RDS (Postgres), MongoDB, Prometheus, Keycloak, or comparable technologies.
  • You think operationally, pragmatically, and cost-conscious – technical decisions are not made solely based on “best practices,” but also on real value.
  • You work in a structured, independent manner and communicate clearly – even in critical situations.
  • You are articulate and have very good German and English languageskills.

Dein Profil:

In this position, you take on a central responsibility for the stable, secure, and cost-efficient operation of our SaaS platform. You act as a technical sparring partner for development, architecture, and management and actively shape what our infrastructure looks like today and in the future.

  • You are responsible for the operation, stability, availability, and performance of our SaaS platform – including monitoring, alerting, and incident management concepts.
  • You strategically develop our cloud and on-prem infrastructure and make well-founded technical decisions.
  • You ensure that thousands of IoT devices can reliably communicate with our systems at all times.
  • You plan, operate, and optimize our infrastructure landscape:
    • AWS (multi-account / production-grade setups)
    • Bare-metal servers (Hetzner)
    • Kubernetes-based platforms
  • You actively drive topics such as scalability, resilience, security, automation, and multi-tenancy.
  • You work closely with development teams and, together, raise the technical standard of the entire platform.
  • You always keep an eye on costs, efficiency, and sustainability and design infrastructure with economic responsibility.
  • You take full ownership: from idea and implementation to stable operation – including knowledge sharing and documentation.
